Easy Bibimbap (Korean Rice)

  • 2 pkts Kikkoman Rice Inspri-Asian Bibimbap
  • 1/2 bunch English spinach, roots trimmed, rinsed
  • 3-4 fresh shiitake mushrooms, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 medium carrot, cut into 5cm lengths & finely shredded
  • 1/2 cup bean sprouts
  • Fresh coriander or toasted white sesame seeds, to garnish

Add thinly sliced grilled beef for a meatier Bibimbap experience.

Place rinsed spinach in covered container and microwave on high for 30 seconds. Drain and rinse under cold water until cool. Squeeze gently to remove excess water. Cut the spinach into 5cm lengths. Panfry or microwave mushrooms for 1 minute. Repeat for carrots, then bean sprouts.


Heat rice according to packet instructions. Add sauce and stir well. Divide rice between 2 bowls and arrange vegetables decoratively on top. Garnish with coriander or toasted sesame seeds and serve.
